Why you should seal your concrete driveway   If you have an existing concrete driveway or have just invested in a new driveway for your home, then you should consider having it sealed to preserve its appearance, to extend its lifetime and to help prevent the buildup of unwanted moss or other vegetative growth. Sealing your driveway will protect the surface from becoming stained from oils or other spillages. The sealer creates a barrier which restricts the oil-based stains from penetrating into the more porous surface of the concrete keeping the natural colour for longer. Using a sealer also protects and enhances the surface of all pattern imprinted concrete and not just solid concreate surfaces so it’s ideal should you have had a new pattern printed driveway installed. Sealers also help keep water away from the concreate and can help prevent the longer-term problem of frost damage should water enter the concrete and then expand when frozen enlarging any existing minor cracks.
